About Us

Both Jen and I had dreams of a long-life helping others by working in the medical field. This all changed when Jen had an accident at work that would ultimately bring her to within inches of deaths door. It was by God’s grace that she would survive, but life for us would never be the same. We knew that for her to heal we could no longer continue eating food where we knew nothing of the poisons, antibiotics or genetic alterations made to that food.  In 2017 we purchased land for what we would build into our new homestead. What attracted us to the land was a gigantic but beautiful walnut tree that is the centerpiece of our homestead and thus Nutty Acres was born. 

Here at Nutty Acres Homestead, we believe that we are seeing the largest disconnect with food in the history of our country. With this decline we have also seen the overall health of Americans decline. We feel that the best way to tackle this is to reconnect people with home grown meals made from fresh ingredients. We raise all our own meat and grow fresh non-gmo produce in as much of a pesticide free condition as possible, all of which are available for sale. Jen offers cooking classes and we have opened our homestead up to help teach others about growing your own produce and processing your own animals. 

On our homestead we never lost sight of wanting to help others. We realized that the best way we can do this is to share our knowledge and experience building and maintaining land with others. This is how Nutty Acres Tractor Service began. We understand that many people have the desire to do more with their land but not everyone has the tools, time or knowledge. Our goal is simple. We want to be the bridge that helps people use their land more effectively. If this is through building a pasture, a garden, basic maintenance or simply by keeping your family safe with a fire break then we are ready and happy to help do what it takes to make this happen.
